A Reviewer (typically a Financial Analyst or Assistant) must be set up before a Cardholder application can be submitted.
The Department Administrator is solely responsible for set-up and management of the Reviewer and Allocator roles; no FlexCard Administrator approval is required.
A. The Reviewer
- 
	Watch the FlexCard Reviewer/Allocator training class. To access the class, see the Training section on the FlexCard Training & Testing page. 
- 
	Log onto the FlexCard Management Module, using your UCSBnetID and password. 
- 
	Complete the FlexCard Reviewer/Allocator Exam. 
- 
	At the end of the exam, click APPLY TO BE A REVIEWER. 
- 
	The application is forwarded to your Department Administrator. 
B. The Department Administrator
- 
	After receiving email notification that a Reviewer application has been submitted, log onto the FlexCard Management Module, using your UCSBnetID and password. 
- 
	On the Main Menu, click DEPARTMENT ADMINISTRATOR MENU. 
- 
	On the Department Administrator Menu, click MANAGE REVIEWERS. 
- 
	On the Manage FlexCard Reviewers screen, click APPROVE REVIEWER ROLE APPLICATIONS. 
- 
	On the Manage FlexCard Reviewers screen, click APPROVE next to the Reviewer’s name. 
- 
	Click APPROVE APPLICATION at the bottom of the Approval screen: you have completed the process. 
NOTE: Whenever a Reviewer authorization is processed, the individual is automatically granted an Allocator authorization.
